The purpose of the Department of Veterans Services is to provide Veterans Benefits, a public assistance program for veterans and dependants mandated by Chapter 115, Massachusetts General Laws, and for the conduct of the federal program to provide counseling, information and assistance for the acquisition of veterans benefits and services sponsored by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).
