The Town of North Reading is currently seeking members for the following committees:
Historical Commission: This commission is responsible for the preservation, protection and development of the historical or archeological assets of the Town. Meets monthly.
Mobile Home Rent Control Board
This is a regulatory board which hears proposals for trailer space rent increases. Members cannot be trailer park owners or renters. Meets as needed.
Council on Aging
The Council’s responsibility is to determine and implement the needs of the elder community. The council is currently in need of members who are age 60 or older.
Meets monthly.
Youth Services Committee
This committee, which was recently approved at Town Meeting, will assess needs, establish goals and develop programs to better serve the youth community, as well as oversee activities of the Youth Services Director.
Interested citizens should contact the Town Administrator’s office at 978-664-6010 for an application. Applicants may also print out a form from the Town’s website at www.northreadingma.gov. Applications must be returned to this office no later than Monday, November 27, 2006.
